Los Chamos Arepas

CXVC+HH6, PR-37, Carolina, 00979, Puerto Rico

Location

Nestled in between a gas station and Papa John’s is Los Chamos Arepas. Los Chamos is a small shack devoted to Venezuelan stuffed arepas a few steps away from the Isla Verde Beach. Very casual spot where they serve top notch arepas. Be aware, the service can be shotty but it is worth the wait.

If you don’t want to travel to Carolina, there is a Los Chamos Arepas kiosk right across the street from La Concha that serves empanadas. You’ll find us there late night post wedding!

La Factoria

148 C. de San Sebastián, San Juan, 00901, Puerto Rico

Location

La Factoria is famous for taking Puerto Rican mixology to the next level—the cocktails are refreshingly simple but masterfully made. The signature drink, the Lavender Mule—a mix of vodka, ginger beer, and homemade lavender infusion—is the perfect way to kick off the night.

San Juan Paddleboarding

Ave. Baldorioty

Parque Nacional Laguna del Condado Jaime Benítez Calle Vieques

San Juan, PR, 00907

Details

A short walk from La Concha at Parque Benitez in the Condado Lagoon, San Juan Paddleboarding offers stand up paddle board rental as well as kayaks. No reservation is required and they are open seven days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The rentals are for 2 hours and it is $20 for a paddleboard and $30 for a kayak. They do not have lockers here so I would keep things minimal when venturing over.
